Pav Bhaji (Marathi: पाव भाजी) is a fast food dish native to Maharashtra and is popular in most metropolitan areas in India, particularly in Mumbai and the Gujarat region. Pav in Marathi means a small loaf of bread. The word has been derived from Portuguese pão (lit., "bread"). Bhaji in Marathi means vegetable dish. Pav bhaji consists of bhaji (a thick potato-based curry) garnished with coriander, chopped onion and a dash of lemon and baked pav. The pav is usually buttered on all sides.

Ingrediants to prepare Pav bhaji
  • Khasiyat Pav bhaji Paste 75 Gram
  • Potatoes 250 Gram
  • Cauliflower 250 Gram
  • Cabbage 250 Gram
  • Green Peas 50 Gram
  • Capsicum 100 Gram

Recipe to prepare Bombay Pav Bhaji

  • Clean, boil and mash vegetables other then tomatoes and onion, set it aside.
  • Dilute Khasiyat pav bhaji paste in small mixing bowl in 3/4 cup water put it on side.
  • Put frying pan on high heat with 1 1/2 tbs. oil.
  • Add diluted paste in frying pan when oil achived to proper temperature.
  • Stir it throughly and cook it for about 1/2 minute, constant stirring is required.
  • After 1/2 a minute add boiled vegetables mis it in fried paste, stir it thoroughly till vegetables mix perfectly in paste, mesh vegetables and cook it for 30 seconds.
  • Now include 3/4 cup stock and stir it well.
  • Cook iot for sometime for about 3 minutes.
  • squeeze 1/2 lime juice in when vegetable becomes consistent.
  • serve it in Pav bhaji plat garnish bhaji with chopped coriander leaves and butter.
  • Butter half of bread buns and roast it on same frying pan
  • Trnsfer roasted buns in Pav Bhaji Plate served chopped onion, tomato and lemon wedges.
